  • Optimizing ABM syllabus saves time, empowers students

    The Undergraduate Air Battle Manager Course reduced training days from 175 to 135 by optimizing the syllabus and giving the students more responsibility to learn on their own, resulting in a 26 percent total time saved.

  • Inspiring through murals at BMT

    Trainees with the 321st Training Squadron volunteered to paint a series of murals through the unit. The project started July 4, 2017, with the American flag painted across the hallway of several classrooms. It took about 2 ½ months and about 12 gallons of paint.

  • Two days could mean a lifetime to a Wingman

    Airmen can find the courage to help from Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, or ASIST, a suicide intervention skills training offered every month at Joint Base San Antonio. ASIST helps participants become more willing, ready and able to intervene with someone at risk of suicide.

  • Soon-to-be officers get a taste of Air Force life

    Air Force ROTC cadets from around the country visited Hill Air Force Base this summer to get a taste of what Air Force life will be like after graduation. More than 80 cadets from nearly 60 colleges took part in a professional development training program called Operation Air Force.

    The wing historian’s job is one of research, historic preservation, and advisory. It is the historian’s job to maintain and retrieve historical documents and artifacts and to be knowledgeable of their history.
