19th Air Force is responsible for the training of more than 30,000 U.S. and allied students annually in numerous specialties ranging from aircrews, remotely piloted aircraft crews, air battle managers, weapons directors, Air Force Academy Airmanship programs, and survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) training. They execute operational-level command and control of all formal aircrew flying training missions within Air Education and Training Command and provide Airmen with a 5th generation, cross-domain warrior mindset to the Combat Air Forces, Mobility Air Forces, and Special Operations Air Forces to sustain the combat capability of the United States Air Force.

      Twenty-one student pilots have successfully navigated through the challenges of Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training taught at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, earning the aeronautical rating of pilot.

This award was a way to show the 97th AMW command team how much its members appreciate their hard work and leadership for the past two years in Mobility’s Hometown. Col.

    • 40 years later, DevilCats fly their brother home

      It's been more than 40 years since then Capt. Bruce Ott flew the T-38 Talon for the 97th Flying Training Squadron, but even a hundred years can't weaken the bonds of family, and Bruce was a member of the DevilCat family.
