19th Air Force is responsible for the training of more than 30,000 U.S. and allied students annually in numerous specialties ranging from aircrews, remotely piloted aircraft crews, air battle managers, weapons directors, Air Force Academy Airmanship programs, and survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) training. They execute operational-level command and control of all formal aircrew flying training missions within Air Education and Training Command and provide Airmen with a 5th generation, cross-domain warrior mindset to the Combat Air Forces, Mobility Air Forces, and Special Operations Air Forces to sustain the combat capability of the United States Air Force.

      Twenty-eight high school Civil Air Patrol students from across America converged on Laughlin June 8 through 15 to get a first-hand course in pilot training.       The 99th Flying Training Squadron paid tribute June 21 to a member of a groundbreaking African-American flying unit that overcame racial prejudice and stereotypes to excel in its mission at the height of World War II.

    • Former Nomad returns to command the 33rd FW

      Hundreds of Nomads welcomed a new commander to the 33rd Fighter Wing during a change of command ceremony here, Jun 18. Maj. Gen. Craig Wills, the commander of 19th Air Force, presided over the ceremony where Col. Jon Wheeler took his place as the newest Nomad One.
