19th Air Force is responsible for the training of more than 30,000 U.S. and allied students annually in numerous specialties ranging from aircrews, remotely piloted aircraft crews, air battle managers, weapons directors, Air Force Academy Airmanship programs, and survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) training. They execute operational-level command and control of all formal aircrew flying training missions within Air Education and Training Command and provide Airmen with a 5th generation, cross-domain warrior mindset to the Combat Air Forces, Mobility Air Forces, and Special Operations Air Forces to sustain the combat capability of the United States Air Force.

 



    • Pilot fit facility reaches milestone, outfits 1,000th F-35 pilot

      Leadership from the 33rd Fighter Wing, Joint Program Office, and Lockheed Martin Corporation gathered here to celebrate the facility’s significant milestone as the 1,000th F-35 pilot to be outfitted received his flight helmet and survival gear May 22.

    • Shulman assumes command of 80th Flying Training Wing

      Col. Jeffrey D. Shulman assumed command of the 80th Flying Training Wing May 22, 2024, in a ceremony here. Shulman joins the 80th FTW from the 8th Fighter Wing at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea where he served as the Deputy Commander. The 80th FTW is home of the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot

    • 49th Wing welcomes new commander

      The 49th Wing hosted a wing commander change of command ceremony here on May 17, 2024.U.S. Air Force Col. John Ethridge took command of the 49th Wing from U.S. Air Force Col. Justin Spears during a ceremony officiated by U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Clark Quinn, Nineteenth Air Force commander.
