19th Air Force is responsible for the training of more than 30,000 U.S. and allied students annually in numerous specialties ranging from aircrews, remotely piloted aircraft crews, air battle managers, weapons directors, Air Force Academy Airmanship programs, and survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) training. They execute operational-level command and control of all formal aircrew flying training missions within Air Education and Training Command and provide Airmen with a 5th generation, cross-domain warrior mindset to the Combat Air Forces, Mobility Air Forces, and Special Operations Air Forces to sustain the combat capability of the United States Air Force.

    • First graduating USAFA class visits Eglin AFB

      The first class of the United States Air Force Academy visited the 33rd Fighter Wing on Jan. 26, 2024. During their visit, the Class of 1959 alumni received a mission brief, a tour of the Academic Training Center and viewed an F-35A Lightning II.

    • The Great Texas Airshow returns to JBSA-Randolph April 6-7

      The Great Texas Airshow will take place April 6-7 with this year’s theme of "Service in Action." This free event will showcase the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the F-35A Lightning II, the U.S. Air Force Academy Wings of Blue Parachute Team and more. Gates open at 9 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. each day.
