19th Air Force is responsible for the training of more than 30,000 U.S. and allied students annually in numerous specialties ranging from aircrews, remotely piloted aircraft crews, air battle managers, weapons directors, Air Force Academy Airmanship programs, and survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) training. They execute operational-level command and control of all formal aircrew flying training missions within Air Education and Training Command and provide Airmen with a 5th generation, cross-domain warrior mindset to the Combat Air Forces, Mobility Air Forces, and Special Operations Air Forces to sustain the combat capability of the United States Air Force.

 



    • SECAF visits Sheppard AFB

      Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall visited the 82nd Training Wing and the 80th Flying Wing Oct. 4-5, where he got a first-hand look at how Sheppard Airmen are transforming technical and flying training to support the future fight.

    • 340th FTG, 39th FTS honor remaining 57th BW WWII vets

      Team members from the 340th Flying Training Group and 39th Flying Training Squadron, along with the Commemorative Air Force and B-25 History Project, recently had the opportunity to honor their heritage by recognizing four of the remaining World War II veterans from the 57th Bomb Wing Association
