Altus Air Force Base Airmen continue to remember through the Wreaths Across America ceremony, which honors those who have served, at the Altus City Cemetery, Dec. 14, 2019, Altus, Okla. As part of National Wreaths Across America Day, volunteers from more than 2,100 different locations placed wreaths on individual veterans’ graves to honor fallen service members. The mission of the ceremony is to remember, honor and teach the public by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies around the world. The ceremony honors all veterans who have served in the revolutionary war to the present day. The wreaths, which are laid on the gravestones during the holiday season, represent eternity, continuity, and memory toward the fallen heroes.
