  • Airmen interested in learning aviation fundamentals, becoming a rated officer can apply for Rated Prep Program until Dec. 2

    Active duty Air Force officers and enlisted personnel interested in becoming rated officers have until Dec. 02, 2021 to apply for the Spring 2022 Air Force Rated Preparatory Program (RPP), scheduled for March 20-25, 2022, and March 27-April 01, 2022 in Denton, Texas. Program participants will receive self-paced ground training, approximately eight flight hours in a Civil Air Patrol Cessna 182 Skylane, and additional training in FAA-certified simulators—helping them become more competitive for rated selection boards.
  • Rated Preparatory Program now accepting applications for FY21 Fall class

    Active duty Air Force officers and enlisted personnel interested in becoming rated officers have until May 25, 2021 to apply for the Fall 2021 Rated Preparatory Program that is scheduled to be held Sept. 11-25, 2021.
  • Officials to unveil Chapman plaque at Randolph’s Airmen’s Heritage Park

    The late Master Sgt. John Chapman will be honored during a plaque unveiling ceremony, hosted by members of the Special Warfare Training Wing, at Airmen’s Heritage Park here, March 4, 2021.
  • SERE graduates class with historically low attrition

    The 336th Training Group held a graduation ceremony for its most successful Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape Specialist Apprentice Course January 8, with an all-time low attrition rate of just 7 percent. Prior to becoming SERE specialists, candidates go through a strenuous six-month training pipeline where normal attrition rates average about 50 percent due to the rigorous nature of the training, which takes them from San Antonio, Texas, to here at Fairchild.
  • 330th SWR launches shadowing program

    The 330th Special Warfare Recruiting Squadron began a new recruiter shadowing program Nov. 24, 2020, starting at their recruiting station and continuing at the Fairview Heights Recreations Center.
