    Instructor pilot strengthens airfield readiness through beta app

    To innovate and improve the process Capt. McKenzie Kane, 50th Flying Training Squadron Instructor pilot, has been designing an application over the past year to display such information called AF Status. AF Status is now being used to replace a dated process to disseminate pre-flight information within the squadron.

    AETC tests new, innovative way of helicopter pilot training

    Two 23rd Flying Training Squadron TH-1H Hueys stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama, and 14 personnel, traveled to Columbus Air Force Base for training as part of the Undergraduate Helicopter Training Next (UHTN) program.

    Columbus AFB medical Airmen ensure readiness through TCCC

    The 14th Medical Group held the Wing’s first on-site Tactical Combat Casualty Care All Combatants course July 16, 2020, at the Kortiz Clinic, training 10 medics from Columbus Air Force Base. The course provides medics with life-saving skills in addition to tactical field care, tactical evacuation care and essential need-to-know capabilities to save lives while undergoing hostile combat situations.

    Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training Instructor pilots from every base across the U.S. learn from the most experienced instructors at Pilot Instructor Training (PIT), in Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas.
