    Chief Master Sgt. David Pizzuto, 81st Training Wing command chief, has worn every uniform the Air Force has ever known. He first raised his right hand in the summer of 1982 and started his career wearing the cotton sateen utility uniform, known as fatigues.

With a nod to female aviation pioneers as the backdrop, the event, was open to all Airmen regardless of gender or career field, and helped Airmen create networks to learn more about experiences, leadership and life.​
  • 47 FTW introduces the Red River Valley Fighter Pilot Association award

    The Red River Valley Fighter Pilot Association Award was presented for the first time at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, to 2nd Lt. Joshua Radjenovich a student pilot in Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training Class 20-08, Feb. 28, 2020. After a highly competitive 52-week class in SUPT, the instructor pilots voted which of the graduates they would most want as a wingman, flying into battle.

    Over 1,100 Security Forces Airmen gathered for the 12th Annual Defender Ruck, hosted by the 343rd Training Squadron, in honor of all 186 Defender Airmen who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of freedom, Nov. 8 at Camp Bullis.
  • AF Academy names airfield in honor of Tuskegee hero

    Honoring a Tuskegee trailblazer: Gen. Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., the first African American general in the Air Force, once said, “I could have been a teacher. I could have been a doctor or a lawyer, if I wanted to, but I didn’t – I wanted to be a pilot.”
